18th Century Barker Stakes Farm is a farmhouse bed and breakfast, set within 32 acres of sprawling countryside near to Pickering and the North York Moors National Park. Ideal for walking, cycling, riding out or simply relaxing.
An 18th Century farmhouse located in a quiet haven of North Yorkshire just on the outskirts of the market town of Pickering, offering bed and breakfast accommodation set within 32 acres on the banks of Pickering Beck, and surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the moors. Guests can enjoy a relaxing holiday, go birdwatching, or take one of the many pleasant walking or cycling routes, with 800 yards of trout fishing on-site.
When the weather is good enjoy a game of croquet or boules on the lawn or giant Geronimo Jenga in the courtyard. For the athletic amongst you football is available on the field, table tennis or pool in the barn; or how about a game of swingball? For the kids a play park is situated on the back lawn.
About our accommodation:
There are seven bed and breakfast guest rooms in total which are set around the courtyard. Each courtyard room has its own external entrance, and outside seating area. There are three king-size rooms, one single room, two family rooms one double room and a small twin room. All rooms are en suite and benefit from power showers. King size rooms all have leather sofas; one even has a four poster bed. The four poster room is an exceptional feature room with vaulted ceiling and French doors leading to a private terrace.
