This is a truly beautiful and tranquil riverside location, but with all the benefits of the coastal town of Whitby just 2 miles away. An ideal base from which to explore Yorkshires heritage coastline, including; Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and Robin Hoods bay. Alternatively there many excellent days out in the nearby National Park, with an abundance of activities and attractions including the North York Moors Steam Railway at Pickering. Here at Riverside Retreats we also have our own Miniature Railway which provides interest and fun for all the family. Clematis Cottage is the end cottage with a private garden area and excellent views of the river bank. It sleeps up to four people. On the ground floor are a double bedroom, a living room with a bed settee, a dining area and kitchen, and a shower room. In terms of eating out you will be spoilt for choice, with an excellent range of places to eat in Whitby and the surrounding area.
