Pickering is a charming Yorkshire spot, with ample country inns, restaurants and specialist shopping, and it has its own stop on the North York Moors Steam Railway. The cottages are all unique, self-contained and each has been converted to the same luxurious standard with high quality and character décor and attention to detail has been provided by this family owned business. The beautifully restored period buildings stand around two courtyards in colourful mature well maintained gardens. There is a reception area with the Manager's office (always contactable in an emergency), ample parking, a utility room and a children's playground. Ellerbeck - 1 Double, 1 Twin (Sleeps 4) A really cosy cottage overlooking the upper courtyard and its own little garden. Perfect for two couples who don't want to share facilities. Bransdale - 1 Double, 1 Twin (Sleeps 4) To approach this warm comfortable cottage overlooking the courtyard, you enter past the pear tree and under the old cantilevered flag stones of the original granary steps. The Carrs - 1 Double, 1 Twin (Sleeps 4) The south facing sitting-room looks out, through lovely French windows, across the secluded patio towards The Carrs' very own lawn and flower borders. Danbydale - 1 Double, 1 Twin (Sleeps 4) If you are looking for peace and quiet, welcome to Danbydale, pleasantly set in the quiet corner of the orchard. Danbydale used to be the stable - which explains the spacious sitting room. Farndale - 1 Double, 2 Singles (Sleeps 4+1) With a double and 2 single bedrooms, Farndale suits parties where visitors prefer not to share a twin bedroom. Glaisdale - 1 Double, 1 Twin, 1 Single (Sleeps 5+1 ) This warm, sunny cottage looks over the courtyard one way and the orchard the other - perfect to sit in a big chair and read the morning newspaper in the sun Facilities: All cottages feature wireless broadband access, cooking by electricity, auto washing machine/tumble dryer dishwasher, fridge/freezer, tea towels, coffee maker food mixer, sandwich toaster, a high chair and gas fired central heating. In the sitting room included are a colour TV, video, DVD player, CD/cassette, radio books and games, and free logs for all cottages with open fires. In the bedrooms, duvets & linen are included (blankets by arrangement), king size double bed (except Farndale), towels, nightlights, stairgates, a cot, and hairdryer. Pets are welcome all year round in Ellerbeck & The Carrs. In the winter months pets are welcome in Bransdale as well.
