Details: Hungate Cottages are located in a peaceful setting on the outskirts of the delightful historic town of Pickering. Pickering is a charming Yorkshire spot, with ample country inns, restaurants and specialist shopping, and it has its own stop on the North York Moors Steam Railway.

The cottages are all unique, self-contained and each has been converted to the same luxurious standard with high quality and character décor and attention to detail has been provided by this family owned business. The beautifully restored period buildings stand around two courtyards in colourful mature well maintained gardens. There is a reception area with the Manager's office (always contactable in an emergency), ample parking, a utility room and a children's playground.

Rosedale - 1 Double, 2 Twins (Sleeps 6)
Rosedale is a really comfortable family cottage that looks out onto the landscaped courtyard. The rooms are large, airy and relaxing.

Saltersgate - 1 Double, 1 Twin, 1 Single, 1 Bunk (Sleeps 7)
Saltersgate's lovely large sitting room faces south and west over the upper courtyard. The new broad oak fitted kitchen enjoys the morning sun, and the dining area the evening sun.

Levisham - 1 Double, 2 Twins (Sleeps 6)
Levisham is a highly attractive and bright cottage that was once part of the old hay barn. The sitting room enjoys a beautiful view over the cricket field

Lockton - 1 Double, 2 Twins (Sleeps 6)
Converted from the original old hay barn, Lockton is a sunny spacious cottage. Very suitable for families who prefer separate baths and showers.

Hungate Garden Cottage - 2 Doubles, 3 Twins (Sleeps 10 + 2)
A warm welcome to the very original gardener's cottage, rebuilt in 1998 and enlarged to make a really splendid holiday home for a large party.

Rosedale/Farndale - 2 Doubles, 2 Twins, 2 Singles (Sleeps 10 + 1)
There’s a secret hidden door, linking these two cottages, so that a big party of up to eleven can have a holiday together – and yet keep out of each other’s way when you want.

Facilities: All cottages feature wireless broadband access, cooking by electricity, auto washing machine/tumble dryer dishwasher, fridge/freezer, tea towels, coffee maker food mixer, sandwich toaster, a high chair and gas fired central heating. In the sitting room included are a colour TV, video, DVD player, CD/cassette, radio books and games, and free logs for all cottages with open fires. In the bedrooms, duvets & linen are included (blankets by arrangement), king size double bed (except Farndale), towels, nightlights, stairgates, a cot, and hairdryer. Pets are welcome all year round in Ellerbeck & The Carrs. In the winter months pets are welcome in Bransdale as well.

Other facilities on the complex include a fenced off children’s play ground with swings, slides, climbing frame and Wendy House, a secure cycle shed (bike hire locally) and a Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer. Also available to guests is a payphone, barbeques and fishing by arrangement. Residents also have free use of the Pickering Swimming pool centre, which is approximately 3 minutes walk away.
