Keepers Cottage is part of the Old Mill located at Egton Bridge, near to the coastal town of Whitby in the North York Moors, and ideal for exploring the moors, the Yorkshire Coast, including Scarborough,Bridlington and Robin Hoods Bay. In addition Malton, Pickering and the City of York.
The mill was built around the 1830's and is in a North York Moors National Park conservation area, set on the banks of the river Esk in the Esk Valley (Broom House Lane) next to the famous stepping stones. It has been completely renovated and is decorated and furnished to a high standard.
The River Esk is ideal for a spot of brown trout fly fishing, and boasts its own seasonal run of Sea Trout.
Egton bridge is just 4 miles from Goathland (Heartbeat Country) and just 8 miles from the historic and lively coastal fishing town of Whitby. This is superb walking and cycling country, and also close to rail links, including the famous North York Moors steam railway. Egton Bridge has its own railway station,pub and hotel.
Accommodation: comprises of entrance leading to a cosy lounge with electric fire in feature fireplace and dining area. Adjacent to the lounge is a newly fitted kitchen with all appliances. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a spacious double bedroom, wardrobe and chest of drawers, and a bathroom with bath, electric shower over the bath, toilet and washbasin. Off the bathroom is a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
