Lyke Wake Cottage is a beautiful farmhouse in quiet location and renovated to a very high standard and set on the fringe of the North york Moors National Park. Walking and cycling close by and the Yorkshire coast is just a short drive away.
This delightful cottage was the original farm house dating back to the 18th century & has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The cottage gets is name from the Lyke Wake Walk which was started by Bill Cowley in the 1950s who owned the farm at the time. Located on a quiet country road close to the village of Swainby which has a shop and 2 good food pubs within walking distance, cycling routes are close by and there is also range of walking opportunities.
Accommodation: Downstairs guests enter through a large fully equipped kitchen which includes dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer & microwave. Off the hallway sits the cosy lounge / dining room with dining table & chairs for 6 people, TV, DVD & CD player. Guests can relax on the comfy sofas & look out through the French windows which open onto a patio with table chairs. There are panoramic Views across open countryside towards Roseberry Topping and the Cleveland hills. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with King sized bed, a doubled bedroom & a single bedroom. All rooms have bedside table & lamp, the King Size & single rooms also have a wardrobe. There is also a bathroom with shower and heated towel rail.
Notes: There is Under floor heating throughout. Prices include all electricity & linen plus a complementary welcome pack. We have ample car parking space. Weekend breaks available.
