The village features cobbled streets, higgledy piggledy cottages, a natural harbour, a small sandy beach and breathtaking scenery. Staithes is an ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing, exploring or simply to chill out. The bustling coastal town of Whitby is just 9m, Scarborough 30m, York 48m and the beautiful North York Moors National Park, with its stunning scenery and rolling moorland directly on the doorstep. The Cleveland Way walk also passes through Staithes. There is a range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and tea rooms to explore in the region. Click these links for further information about the East Coast and Staithes The Cottages We offer seven superb self catering holiday cottages/ apartments, sleeping from between 2 to 6 persons each. Unless otherwise stated, all have bed linen provided, with heating included and child cot and high chair available. The Old Cottage Situated in one of Staithes alley ways between the High Street and the beck this cottage is small but makes an ideal base for 2 people. • Ground floor: kitchen with fridge microwave toaster etc • First floor: lounge with TV and DVD small library of books bathroom with walk in shower wc and washbasin • Second floor: double bedroom One well behaved pet is welcome (a small charge will be made). Sorry no smoking is allowed inside the cottage. Roslyn Cottage This fisherman's cottage is situated in the centre of the village and has been sympathetically modernised and refurbished. The accommodation comprises: • Basement: Playroom/second lounge; with flat screen TV, DVD and music system. • Ground floor: Lounge /Dining room, open fire and TV with DVD. Kitchen (newly refurbished), breakfast bar, fridge washer/dryer, microwave etc. • First floor: Bedroom 1 - twin beds, Bedroom 2 - bunk beds, bathroom - W.C. wash basin and walk in shower. • Second floor: Bedroom 3 - Double bedroom with en-suite Bathroom W.C. Kessen Bowl Apartment Situated above the Kessen Bowl Gift Shop, with separate access and 1 minute from the sea, pubs and shops.
