Hawnby is your perfect base from which to explore this stunning area. Extensive hiking trails and cycling routes are available right from our door, allowing easy access to the beautiful North York Moors There are marked mountain bike (MTB) trails in nearby Boltby Forest. Also nearby are the ruins of the abbeys of Rievaulx, Byland, Fountains and Jervaulx. Ampleforth College and Abbey is just 10 miles away, and the historic city of York is only a short drive away. Studley Royal Estate, Castle Howard stately home and the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway are all nearby.

Accommodation: We have a total of nine en suite bedrooms all of which are fully no smoking and furnished to a high standard. Six of the rooms are located in the main hotel building and three in the recently converted stables annex. All rooms are c/w: a colour TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee tray and clothes iron. A baby listening devices can also be made available.
