Formerly a working farmhouse dating from 1720, Wildsmith House which is located on Marton village green, is full of character and has a large walled garden to the rear, with ample private car parking. Marton village is located on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors on the banks of the river Seven. The village has country inn, Chapel and an Old School House. There is a wide main street, flanked on each side with a stretch of village green and period cottages. The location is an ideal base from which to explore the area including the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Herriot Country and Yorkshires spectacular Heritage Coast. There are many historic Houses and Abbeys close by which are well worth a visit. Superb walks, unspoilt villages, quiet country lanes and many delightful inns and restaurants abound in the area. Accommodation We have two spacious twin bedded en-suite guest rooms, decorated and furnished to a high standard. Colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and many more welcoming touches are provided. Each room has a large bathroom with both bath and shower. The sitting room offers views of the village green and is a pleasant haven. A roaring log fire can be enjoyed on colder evenings. Dining The dining room boasts an old polished pine floor and original fireplace. Here guests can enjoy our home cooked breakfast in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
