The North York Moors is a great place to pursue photography. Whether snapping a quick shot of your team after ascending a local peak or spending days searching for the perfect shot, there are photo opportunities aplenty. The moors are well photographed. The appeal extends beyond the obvious. As well as a fantastic array of nature and wildlife to record, the moors have been little touched by modernisation and therefore offer a picture of traditional ways of life. Original dry-stone walls, fields that have been used for centuries and small market towns are so authentic that the area is used for historical TV dramas such as 'Heartbeat' and also for the big screen.
