Some foods were plainly meant for each other: fish & chips, strawberries & cream, bangers & mash and of course, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding! However, the regions culinary output doesn’t begin and end with its famous pud, there are many excellent restaurants, pubs and bistros in the area, where you can wine & dine to your hearts content. Tea rooms and cafes are in also in plentiful supply.
Fancy a pint? - Yorkshire folk certainly do! Well there are plenty of traditional Yorkshire pubs in the area offering a wide selection of refreshing beers, lagers and ales. Famous Yorkshire beer includes Black Sheep & Theakstons which is brewed at Masham; while a selection of locally brewed real ales is also available in many of the delightful local pubs.
