Elton John to Play the Great Yorkshire Show 2012
Undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the world, Elton John and his band will bring their unforgettable live show to Harrogate for one special night next summer.
The concert will take place in the Main Ring of the Great Yorkshire Showground at the Yorkshire Event Centre,on Bank Holiday Tuesday, 5th June 2012. The specially created fully reserved seated outdoor concert will give thousands of fans the opportunity to dance and sing along to his much-loved songs. VisitEngland’s Regional Growth Fund Bid is Successful
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills announced today that VisitEngland's bid for funding from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF) was successful.
The money will be used on a three-year project entitled, Growing Tourism Locally which has been designed to stimulate economic growth and employment locally. A key part of the project will be a national campaign aimed at inspiring Britons to take more short breaks and holidays at home and in doing so create the equivalent of 9,500 full time jobs across the country.

Is set in the beautiful parkland of Sutton Park Stately Home, Sutton on the Forest, North Yorkshire, by kind permission of Sir Reginald and Lady Sheffield. Attractions will include: Show jumping, foxhounds, dressage, vintage vehicles parade, dog show, produce, handicrafts, scarecrows, floral art, agricultural, equestrian and children's classes. 2010 was our most successful show to date and attracted a crowd of over 5000. We had over 60 trade stands plus another 20 tables in the dedicated craft marquee. Two popular additions for 2010 were a Scarecrow competition for the children and a Dressage competition.
