Views of the Cleveland Way now online!
Anyone fancying a hike along the Cleveland Way through the stunning North York Moors National Park can now plan their route before setting off from the comfort of home as now the whole of the National Trail has been photographed and loaded online.

Abandoned mine railway to be restored.
A Historic Victorian mine railway located near to Pickering is to benefit from substantial restoration in the near future. Rosedale Mineral Railway used to deliver Ironstone to the area for almost 100 years, between 1830 and 1929.

Golf Tourism launches Pennines Golf Trail
If you were asked to name famous Golf Courses in the UK, Gleneagles could be a name that springs to mind, but would you think of the Pennines as having a golf course? Probably not but that is all about to change because my dear golfing companions The Pennines Golf Trail has come into being to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pennine Way.

Goathland Station, the change will make your heart beat
Goathland which in itself is a charming little village outside Whitby on Yorkshire's East Coast has also been brought to our attention by the television series Heartbeat and more recently of course the Harry Potter films which used this station as their "Hogsmeade Station"

Tour De Yorkshire in Rosedale Abbey
Riders from all over the world will pass through the village of Rosedale Abbey on Friday, 1st May on the 174 km first stage of the Tour de Yorkshire route from Bridlington to Scarborough. They will climb from sea level to approximately 173 meters as they pass through the village and up on to the moor for a further climb to 412 meters above sea level before taking a spectacular journey back to the coast via Danby, Sleights and Whitby.
