2014 North York Moors and Coast Events & Attractions Guide

Make your New Years resolution to explore the delights of the stunning North York Moors and breathtaking Heritage Coast in 2014. Get out there and discover some of the hidden treasures of the area whilst enjoying many of the exciting events, age old local traditions and exhibitions taking place throughout the year.

The latest guide to all the events coming up in and around the area is now available online and whatever interests you there will definitely be plenty to see and do during 2014. Beautiful gardens with manicured lawns, theme parks, bird sanctuaries and animal parks always offer the perfect family day out with new features added each season. Many sporting events and races are detailed in the guide.

On the coast, atmospheric Whitby has something for everyone. From mid February the award winning Captain Cook Museum is to be holding an exciting new exhibition featuring the discovery of Australia by the historic explorer. Artefacts and photographs detailing the moments they came across the never before seen mammals and plant life and the dangers they encountered, which is certainly a must see!

Scarborough has a full programme of events planned at the open air theatre in the town as well as a fantastic dinosaur exhibition at the museum and a colourful historical theme at the art gallery. Country fairs and agricultural shows will be taking place during the summer months in many of the villages and towns throughout the area and are wonderful places to experience the atmosphere and enjoy some delicious local produce.
