It's going to be a tasty June in Ripon!

Following the success of last years event, the second Tastes of Yorkshire Annual Food & Drink Family Festival is to be held once again at Ripon Racecourse, North Yorkshire, on Saturday June 8th 2013. A free day out for the whole family - including well behaved dogs, can be had by all!

This festival brings together all that is good about Yorkshires food and drink industry, showcasing local produce, suppliers and specialists in one venue. Ripon racecourse is the place to go to sample all the delicious offerings from a wide variety of stalls, and pick up some unique gourmet delicacies to take home.

There will be demonstrations and exhibitions from some well known chefs and from the 21 Engineer Regiment, who will be cooking up a storm in their army tent, using both reconstituted and fresh ingredients. Stalls selling everything from hand made chocolate delights to home reared meats and specialist beers will be offering information and advice about all things edible. To entertain visitors there will be live music from the bandstand and a recipe competition. Entry to the festival and parking is free and there will be a prize draw where one lucky winner will be going home with a selection of the finest goodies.
