North York Moors Chamber Music Festival August 2017

The ninth consecutive North York Moors Chamber Music Festival will take place this year between the 13th and 26th August. The venues for the music concerts are unique historical churches across the North York Moors National Park and the superb Jurassic coastal area.

Whether in the dales, small hamlets, coastal villages or remote moorland, each church has its own unique atmosphere, perfect for the audience to sit back and appreciate the music. International musicians will perform a specific theme in each church encompassing the grandeur and spirit of the North York Moors. All are welcome, both locals and visitors to celebrate nature through the power of music. With a total of forty five musicians appearing at ten churches throughout the region and performing fifty works of music during the fortnight there is plenty of opportunity to be part of the audience of these wonderful performances. At each venue there will be opportunity to buy limited edition CDs of the recordings that have been produced under the Ayriel Classical label. There will also be a gallery of art from the renowned artist Carol Taylor on display at each venue where concertgoers have the chance to buy prints of some of the works we have commissioned from her over the years. The tickets for the concerts have been given a very reasonable price as we believe that music should be available for all to enjoy.
