Rains Farm Bed & Breakfast scoop top AA award.

Stayin are very pleased to announce that Lorraine Allanson and Rains Farm Bed and Breakfast, Allerston near Pickering, North Yorkshire have scooped a top annual UK award from the AA at the recent 2012 ceremony held in London.

The AA Bed and Breakfast awards are the oscars of the bed and breakfast industry and were held at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London during May. The 'Friendliest B&B award' is the AA's top award it gives to bed and breakfast establishments. The winner for the whole of the United Kingdom was announced as Lorraine Allanson of Rains Farm, Allerston, Pickering, North Yorkshire.

Originally Lorraine was nominated by the AA's team of inspectors to be one of 25 finalists out of over 3,500 establishments throughout the country inspected by the AA. The finalists are then judged by an independent panel of judges and 2 runners up and the winner decided. After being announced the winner Lorraine said:

"It is a complete honour to be the overall winner out of the whole of Great Britain and makes all my hard work and dedication to providing quality bed and breakfast with a warm and friendly service worth while. I am so proud, the AA is such a historical and well respected brand. To bring home the title of The AA's Friendliest B&B to Yorkshire makes me especially proud as I love my home county. The AA inspects both my self catering cottages and B&B, all of my accommodation has been awarded a 4 star rating and I was highly delighted when I was given a special breakfast award but to then receive a letter completely out of the blue saying I was one of the 25 finalists was incredable and very exciting, but to go on to win was amazing and a truly wonderful feeling"
