Walk 1: Tea Shop Walk - Saturday 25th June 2016

Starting 10.00am at the old Bakery Graze on the Green. Return approx 5pm.

The walk is easy to moderate with two gentle climbs from the valley bottom incorporating not one but three tea shops!

Approximately 9 mile/14kms and 7 hours duration.

Walk 2: The Pilgrims Way - Saturday 25th June 2016

Starting at 1.30pm at Ebeneezer Methodist Chapel (Rosedale East).

This walk is an interesting and varied walk taking in some of the ancient and well worn tracks and landmarks which are the heart of local folklore and legend. In the spirit of the monks who once walked these trods, we may even introduce the practice of walking meditation for a short section of the walk. It is approx. 8.5 miles and will take about 4 hours depending on weather and walking conditions.

Walk 3: Little Boots - For Children - Saturday 25th June

The start and finish of the walk will be Rosedale Abbey School yard and will commence at 2pm.

Lead by Rosedale Abbey School and aimed primarily at children up to eleven years old but all are welcome.

The walk will be an interactive ramble of approximately 1 mile based on trail booklets devised by pupils from the village school. Children must be accompanied by an adult and the cost is £1 per child which includes an informative booklet.

Walk 4: Walk the Line - Sunday 26th June 2016

Starting 9.00am on the Village Green. Return approx 5pm.

The walk is moderate to strenuous with ascent of 310 metres.

Walk 5: Wildlife Walk - Sunday 26th June 2016

Starting 10am on the Village Green.

The walk is a moderate walk that, like the water ways within them, meanders along two valleys. Opportunities for sketching and photography will be available.

Mostly easy walking but with a 0.8km steep and uneven ascent and long descent.

Please bring a packed lunch, sketching materials, cameras and binoculars, if you have some. Walking boots or sturdy wellingtons are advised, if wet.

Walk 6: Rosedale History Walk - Sunday 26th June 2016

Starting 1.30pm at the Village Green, Rosedale Abbey. Return approx 6pm.

"Tall Tales and Fascinating Facts" is led by Rosedale History Society, with seldom seen archive photographs and press reports.
