Rosedale Walking Festival is back!

This year the Rosedale Abbey Walking Festival has seven different walks, taking place over two days in June. New this year is the Ale Trail Walk and Rosedale's Glassmakers Past & Present, both taking place on Saturday, 23rd June.

Alongside these walks will be the tried and tested (and very popular) Tea Shop walk, also on 23rd June and the Land of Iron on Sunday, 24th June. The Land of Iron Walk, which is led by the Rosedale History Society, is approximately 6 miles and is mostly easy to moderate but with a bit of rough ground. There are also some fascinating photographs and press reports to be seen.

The Tea Shop Walk requires walkers to have plenty of stomach capacity as well as the energy for a seven mile moderate walk with a couple of easy climbs. Health warning: Do not eat a big breakfast before this walk!

The Festival takes place on 23rd and 24th June 2018 and it is possible to just turn up on the day, but as numbers may be limited for some walks, it is advisable to book a place in advance. This can be done by telephone on 01751 417505 or by email to walkrosedale@outlook.com.
