The North York Moors, East Coast and surrounding regions are the ideal place for some relaxing retail therapy. There are hundreds of quaint/independent shops dotted amongst idyllic settings in rural towns and villages. In addition there are numerous bustling towns such as Pickering, Helmesly, Thirsk, Whitby, Stokesley, Malton and Norton with a fine selection of retail outlets. Many have outdoor weekly markets and a range of cafes and pubs to allow for a break in proceedings. For the ultimate in retail heaven why not indulge yourself by visiting the City of York - but allow plenty of time and use the park and ride or train.
