Details: The course comprises nine holes played from differing tee positions for the second nine, through the listed historic park surrounding Gilling Castle. It provides a stimulating challenge to golfers of all abilities. The course is in a superb setting over undulating terrain with excellent views over the moors and woodland. The course drains well and is never closed for weather conditions (barring snow!). Visitors and new members welcome. There is a short game practice area and a putting green. The length is 5,600 yards, SSS 69.

The course is in the village of Gilling East on the B1363 from York to Helmsley approximately 18 mile from York and 5 miles from Helmsley. Green fees can be paid at the Fairfax Arms in the village approximately 300 yards from the course or use the honesty box at the course - adults £15 per day, juniors £5 (2-FORE-1 vouchers accepted). Membership available - adults £220 per year, juniors £55.

After your round the Fairfax Arms provides excellent food, drinks and accommodation.
