Details: A cafe and tea room built into the moor at the top of Carlton Bank, in the Cleveland Hills and with views of Teesside and the east coast. The architecture of the cafe is in a megalithic bunker style.

It is situated on the Cleveland Way and is popular with walkers, day trippers and hang glider enthusiasts alike. The nearby escarpment is ideal for both hang gliders and paragliders who can often be seen practising their skills.

Hot food with a decent vegetarian selection is available, and the premises also licensed so you can get a decent pint of John Smiths or Beamish.

The food home cooked on the premises and very reasonably priced.You can also buy snacks and ice cream.

All in all, nice grub, good value, friendly staff and clean toilets.
