Walking in the North York Moors is the perfect outdoor activity for all ages and abilities. There are numerous footpaths and signed walks throughout  the stunning countryside. A number of the long distance walks and trails are ideal for those longer breaks and connect both the moors and coasts. 

What could be better than a relaxing walk through the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The area is simply bursting with walking, hiking and fell running opportunities. From rugged moorland routes to spectacular coastalwalks. Wheelchair accessible routes are also available.

If you like walking, then you will love the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, whatever your age, skill level or preferences of walks there will be something to suit your needs. There are several famous walks that go through the moors including the Coast to Coast Walk, Lyke Wake Walk and Cleveland Way. But with so much of the moors now open access anyway, you can walk just about anywhere and enjoy the beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park at your leisure.

There are also a collection of 18 walks know as the North Sea Trails which follow routes along the coast offering a selection of excellent linear and circular trails.
