Scampston Hall is a traditional country house, set in magnificent gardens at Malton. The house is home to a stunning collection of works of art, with period furnishings and decor. The gardens are a sight to behold and house a collection of rare alpines.

This country house has remained in the same family since it was built towards the end of the 17thC. It was extensively remodelled in 1801 by the architect Thomas Leverton with fine Regency interiors and houses an important collection of works of art. The garden features a recently-restored, walk-in rock and water garden with a rare collection of alpines.

A family home for centuries, with no ropes or barriers around, Scampston Hall is the home of Sir Charles, who with his friendly team of well informed guides, proudly enjoys showing people round in small groups to enable everyone to see everything at close quarters and ask lots of questions.

This is a wonderful house in which to hold special functions. Weddings are catered for and options include a civil ceremony in the house, followed by an intimate dinner the Dining Room, evening dinner and dancing in the Walled Garden Restaurant, or alternatively how about an elaborate marquee in the grounds overlooking the Capability Brown Parkland and the Palladian Bridge.
