Area: Swainby
Region: Hambleton
County: Yorkshire

Details: Swainby is a peaceful village located on the western edge of the North York Moors National Park. The High Street is frequently brought to a standstill by horses or ducks! The characteristics of the village and the surrounding area consist of traditional Yorkshire dry stone walls, sweeping hills, sheep, postcard perfect heather and moor land.

The village is a walkers paradise with the Cleveland Way, the National Cycle Route 65 passing through Swainby, and it is also very near the Coast-to-Coast Walk. However there are also many other places of interest nearby and the coast is not to far drive and plenty of good restaurants too!

Along with 3 pubs and a few B+Bs there is also a village shop and post office. Swainby provides an ideal base for exploring the region and is easily accessible from Teesside, the A19 and the A1.
