Wild Country Walkabouts runs low impact, outdoor activities, including bushcraft and archery, in and around Rosedale in the North York Moors. This is a spectacular area of upland valleys and heather moors, home to a wonderful variety of wildlife including; otters, hares, goshawks, hen harriers, ring ouzels, dippers, frogs, toads, grass snakes, adders and slow worms.    

With Wild Country Walkabouts you will expand your knowledge, develop new skills and further your understanding of yourself and the natural world. We aim to ensure that you leave Rosedale seeing wild places through new eyes, with the confidence to explore further than before, the paradise beyond your own front door.

About Us: Wild Country Walkabouts was established by Andrew Middleton, an experienced and successful outdoor education teacher, to provide increased opportunities for adults and children to engage with wild places. Having worked as a teacher and head teacher in mainstream and special education, Andrew wanted to spend more time outdoors sharing his passion for wild places with others.

All our courses or Walkabouts take place outdoors in wild places. Participants must dress with regard to the weather and terrain. Activities will take place in all but the most extreme weather.
