Robin Hoods Bay
Robin Hoods Bay is an historic Yorkshire coastal village built on the cliff side close to Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors. It has both spectacular cliffs and a wide expanse of sandy beaches which offer a unique seaside charm. Robin Hoods Bay grew up in the 16th century and began as a settlement of only 50 houses, it still maintains the welcoming atmosphere of a bustling small community. During the 18th and 19th centuries it become Yorkshires busiest smuggling port, due to its isolated location.
