Great Broughton

Great Broughton is a traditional village in North Yorkshire, which lies close to Stokesley in the district of Hambleton. This pretty village sits on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and in the shadow of the Cleveland Hills. It is a perfect base for exploring the countryside and the coast, with easy access to a number of delightful seaside towns. Walkers can enjoy access to the Cleveland Way and the Coast to Coast Walk which passes close to the village. The village houses an award winning hotel, three pubs, a post office and a convenience store. For families and nature lovers alike, the towns of Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay are close by and offer excellent fishing, clean beaches and an abundance of natural wildlife. For something a little livelier, Whitby and Scarborough are also within easy reach. The nearby tranquil village of Ingleby has superb mixed course fishing available in a large fishing lake which has been developed from a former clay pit. There is excellent local transport and the village is well served by nearby railways.
